Burning Man deaths this year triple the average as attendee age at Nevada’s desert festival ticks upward
Three people died in connection with this year's Burning Man festival, triple the typical annual average of one death, according to the Pershing County sheriff. The deaths, none showing signs of foul play so far, come as census data show the share of attendees in their 20s fell from about 30% in 2014 to 10% in 2025.
