Burning Man has become a wrinkled sausage fest of aging millennial men, data shows

Census data from Black Rock City show Burning Man attendance has fallen from a 2019 peak of about 80,000 to roughly 70,000 last year, while the share of attendees under 30 dropped from 30% in 2014 to 14% in 2025. Men still make up 56% of attendees, and half now earn over $100,000, up from a quarter in 2015, as ticket prices rose from $215 in 2005 to $775 this year.
