Trump threatens to cut trade with some countries if Fed doesn’t lower rates

President Trump said he would halt trade with countries running a trade surplus with the US unless the Federal Reserve lowers interest rates, in a social media post urging Fed Chairman Kevin Warsh and board members to act. The threat follows a stronger-than-expected August jobs report ahead of the Fed's September 15 policy meeting.
