Mastermind of €88m Louvre heist thought they ‘could have taken more’

Two suspects in the €88 million Louvre heist last October told investigators the alleged mastermind was dissatisfied with the eight pieces they stole and believed they could have taken more. The burglars said they were hired just days before and were paid €15,000-€25,000 each to break into the Apollo Gallery, but dropped a gem-encrusted crown during their escape.
