McConnell breaks weeks of silence about his hospitalization

Sen. Mitch McConnell said he briefly lost consciousness from a fall four weeks ago but did not break bones, suffer a concussion, or experience a heart attack or stroke. He was hospitalized with mild pneumonia and cited the physical demands of Senate work as part of his decision to retire in January.
