Small towns beat big cities in rooftop solar adoption

Smaller Indian cities are leading rooftop solar adoption, with 36.3 lakh systems installed under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar scheme benefiting 44.1 lakh households, while major metros including Delhi and Mumbai rank outside the top 100 districts.
