Claim Hindu law is based on 'Manusmriti' wrong, says SG Tushar Mehta

India's solicitor general said Hindu law is primarily based on the 'Mitakshara' school of thought, derived from 'Yajnavalkya Smriti,' not 'Manusmriti,' except in Bengal and Assam where the 'Dayabhaga' tradition prevails.
