Bandits in north-west Nigeria abduct villagers they invited to discuss peace talks

Armed bandits in northwest Nigeria abducted dozens of villagers who had gathered for peace talks, with authorities reporting 39 seized and some residents estimating the number could reach 50. The kidnappers are demanding 125 million naira for their release.
